Springfield, Illinois - A shiny car with lots of power hitting the open road is part of the American fabric. That spirit will be celebrated in grand style again on September 27, 28 & 29, 2013, in downtown Springfield, Illinois, along Route 66 as the International Route 66 Mother Road Festival returns to celebrate its 12th annual event. The festival draws over 1,000 cars and as many as 80,000 spectators. Admission is free to all spectators.
