First and foremost, Thank you to all of our guests for coming out to Snowstar. Another year is in the books and the skis are in storage for the year.
And as I’ve often heard at the bottom of our runs: What a ride!
The 2015-2016 Snowstar season was a one of new beginnings and served as a preview of what’s to come. Admittedly, we faced some less-than-ideal conditions this year. El Nino led to a much warmer than average Midwest winter that devastated the winter sports industry as a whole, and we were not immune. Our open season this year was one of the shortest on record in our history.
And as if that wasn’t enough, you’ve probably all heard about the fire during the early part of our season which seriously damaged our Gravity Grille upper and the upper level of the lodge, which we had just remodeled. These setbacks were significant, without a doubt. However, Snowstar specializes in one thing: Momentum. Like all of our tubers, skiers, and snowboarders, we moved forward, and will continue to do so.
This season, we were proud to debut our newly remodeled Rex’s Rendezvous Pub and Internet Lounge, boasting one of the strongest WiFi internet signals in the area, a top notch selection of refreshments, and a stunning array of 9 HDTVs.
The best is yet to come at Snowstar. We have begun the rebuild of the fire-damaged area, and aim to have the lodge fully operational by the start of 2016-17 season. When we ended this season with our famous Slush Pit, we saw exactly what we needed to see: fun. As long as our guests are out at the park having a good time, we know that our efforts are being rewarded.
In that spirit, we will be launching a new stream of communication with our guests over the off-season. Check your email inbox, our website, and social media and make sure all your friends are signed up for updates, offers, and news directly from Snowstar. Much like Christmas, it’s hard not to start looking forward to snow – even in April!
Your opinion is important and we want to hear your ideas and ways we can improve to enhance your experience here at Snowstar.  Please take a minute to complete our End of Season Survey, available here.  When doing so, you will be entered into a drawing to win a $100 Gift Card.
Because believe me folks, you ain’t seen nothing yet!
P.S: Snowstar Season Pass holders: present your pass our friends at Creekside Vineyards for 10% any wine in their Preemption Tasting Room!
