Featuring Marla Andich
DAVENPORT, IA – November 2016 –Gilda’s Club, in partnership with Living Proof Exhibit and sponsored by UnityPoint Health Trinity, is hosting a FREE workshop called Creative Sessions: Polymer Clay with artist Marla Andich on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Gilda’s Club (1234 East River Drive, Davenport).
Participants will learn how to create interesting patterns of color with polymer clay. Everyone will make a pendant that they can take home.
Creative Sessions is collaboration between Gilda’s Club and Living Proof Exhibit that offers art therapy to cancer patients and survivors at no charge. Creative Sessions are held monthly from February through November.
Andich is a breast cancer survivor. She is retired from Black Hawk College, where she taught in their alternative high school and coordinated a career and transition program for the students. She has used her jewelry to fundraise for her Relay for Life team, Marla's Marvels, the Norma-Leah Ovarian Cancer Initiative, and The Rock Island Library Foundation. Her jewelry has been featured in the Living Proof Exhibit display at the Figge Art Museum and the Peoria Library. She is also a crocheter and polymer clay artist.

Unique to this year, each month will feature a different artist instructing a session on his or her passion.
