On Saturday, March 12th, Camp Courageous will hold a Stuff the Bus fundraiser at the Waterfront Hy-Vee (1720 Waterfront Dr.) in Iowa City and the Coralville Hy-Vee (1914 8th St.) from 9am to 5pm. Camp Courageous provides recreational and respite programs for nearly 7,000 individuals of all ages with special needs each year. Thousands of individuals from Johnson and surrounding counties get to go to camp each year thanks to donors. The camp was started in 1974, and the first buildings were built with donated materials by volunteers. Volunteers and donors remain the backbone of the camp which is open year round and run on donations.

Supporters can stop by an information table and drop off needed items such as wet wipes, bread, non-perishable food, baby shampoo, wax paper, balloons, gallon sized trash bags, napkins, and more. Volunteers will be on hand to help Stuff the Bus!

Volunteers are needed for this event. Please contact Amatullah Richard at ajrichard999@gmail.com or 319-465-5916 x2140. Even an hour of your time makes a big difference in the life of someone with special needs!
