Presentations show progress, provide vision for the future

The annual meeting of the Hilltop Campus Village Corporation will be held on Thursday, May 19, at 6pm in the Fellowes Room of the Vickie Anne Palmer Hall, located at 115 West 7th Street on the campus of Palmer College of Chiropractic. All persons interested in its redevelopment, restoration and revitalization are welcome.

The meeting will feature two presentations of large scale redevelopments going forward in the southern part of the Hilltop Campus Village, the resurfacing work commencing this month on Brady Street, and the unveiling of plans of Palmer College of Chiropractic for the physical enhancement of its campus from 6th Street to Palmer Drive, along Brady and Main Streets.

In addition the Hilltop Campus Village Board of Directors will recognize the businesses that have opened in the Hilltop area over the past 12 months, introduce a new staff person, and hold the election for a slate of board members to three-year terms.

Vice-President of the Board and Organization Work Group chair, Kelly Young of Bluffstone L.L.C. has helped organize the annual meeting. “A lot of great things have happened over the last year, and more will be continuing to happen.” she said. Board of Directors President Robert Lee added that “these changes are essentially giving new shape and vitality to the Hilltop Campus Village district initiative. In addition to recognizing those changes and the awards that we as an organization have received, we want to look forward to what the future holds, and how volunteers can help shape it.”

Light refreshments and snacks will be available. There is no charge for the event. A raffle and art work give-away will be held immediately following the meeting. RSVP requested to hcvscott@gmail.com
