Kids will race for kids who can't, raising money for families impacted by cancer

BETTENDORF, Iowa (Aug. 12, 2015) – Hy-Vee, Inc. and the Pinky Swear Foundation will greet hundreds of athletes on Saturday, Aug. 15, at the inaugural Hy-Vee Pinky Swear Kids Triathlon at the Bettendorf YMCA, located at 3800 Tanglefoot Lane in Bettendorf.

The triathlon is fun, accessible and engaging for children of all fitness levels and focuses on participation rather than competition. This is the fourth of five Hy-Vee Pinky Swear Kids Triathlons that will be held in cities across the Midwest this summer. The primary purpose of the swim, bike and run events is the fundraising aspect, in which kids raise money to help kids with cancer and their families.
