San Francisco’s all-star ensemble comprised of eight of the finest performer/composers at work in jazz today, the SFJAZZ Collective’s mission each year is to perform fresh arrangements of works by a modern master and new pieces by each Collective member. The Collective performs home season concerts at the SFJAZZ Center and a national tour, with stops in some of the world's most prominent clubs and concert halls. The Collective’s first and only studio album, Wonder: The Songs of Stevie Wonder, won Outstanding Jazz Album at the 45th Annual NAACP Image Awards in 2014.

For 2015-16, they focus on the music of the undisputed King of Pop, Michael Jackson, with arrangements of “The Love You Save,” “Rock With You,” “Smooth Criminal,” “Thriller,” and “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough,” among others. Hailing from Puerto Rico, New York, Venezuela, Philadelphia, New Zealand, and Israel, the Collective’s multi-cultural lineup mirrors the explosion of jazz talent around the globe. “You can propose various definitions for what this band represents, but it’s a superbrain for what serious jazz sounds like now.” – New York Times

Miguel Zenón – Alto Saxophone

David Sánchez – Tenor Saxophone

Avishai Cohen – Trumpet

Robin Eubanks – Trombone

Warren Wolf – Vibraphone, Marimba
