MOLINE, Ill. (November 26, 2013) - The Quad City Mallards return to action on home ice over the next two weekends and bring with them a host of fan-friendly promotions. This Friday night's game between the Mallards and St. Charles Chill will feature the return of $1 Dog/$1 Beer Night presented by 97X while this Saturday will see the the Mallards hold their annual Teddy Bear Toss and welcome Great Clips, whose stylists will provide hair cuts for fans to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Western Illinois and Eastern Iowa. The Mallards will embark upon Rivalry Weekend presented by Pub 1848 when they host the Brampton Beast December 6, 7 and 8.

$1 hot dogs and $1 beers are available at iWireless Center concession stands during each of the Mallards' 11 Friday night home games this season, including this Friday's 7:05 p.m. meeting with the Chill. Friday's first intermission entertainment, will, courtesy of 97X, follow the hot dog-themed spirit of the evening.

The Mallards have also partnered with Metro, which provides earlier service on the Route 59 between Augustana College and downtown Moline during Friday home games this season. The Route 59 will make one trip from campus to downtown Moline prior to the game (arriving at 5th Avenue and 15th Street at 6:30 p.m.) and will resume service from downtown to campus every 30 minutes from 10:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.  Regular Metro fares are just $1 one-way or $2 round-trip. As part of Metro's unlimited ride program, Augustana riders can use their Augustana ID as their fare. Visit www.gogreenmetro.com or www.facebook.com/53and59 for more information.

This Saturday night the Mallards will team with Great Clips to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Western Illinois and Eastern Iowa. Great Clips stylists will provide haircuts for fans attending the Mallards' 7:05 p.m. game against the Tulsa Oilers throughout that contest. All proceeds from the cost of those haircuts will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Western Illinois and Eastern Iowa.

Also on Saturday evening, One of hockey's unique traditions, the Teddy Bear Toss, will make its annual return to the iWireless Center. Fans are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped stuffed animals to that game and throw them on the ice immediately after the Mallards' first goal.  Those teddy bears will then be donated to children in need in the Quad Cities area just in time for the holidays.

The Holiday 4-Pack gives fans a chance to save on tickets to this Saturday night's game. Fans can purchase four lower bowl seats to this Saturday night's game for just $40 at the iWireless Center box office while supplies last.

The Mallards have teamed with Pub 1848 to present Rivalry Weekend December 6, 7 and 8 when the Mallards play three straight home games against their newest Central Hockey League rivals from north of the border, the Brampton Beast.

The Mallards' budding international rivalry with the expansion Beast will no doubt intensify when the teams meet three times in 48 hours at the iWireless Center. The Mallards last month suffered a hard-fought 4-3 loss in their first ever meeting with the CHL's lone Canadian club.

The Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7 match ups with the Beast both face off at 7:05 p.m. The two clubs will close out the weekend by colliding at 4:05 p.m. on December 8.  The December 6 game is also another $1 Dog/$1 Beer Friday presented by 97X. On both December 7 and 8 the Mallards will team with Toys for Tots to provide fans with a $3 discount off the price of a ticket to either of those games for each new toy donated at the iWireless Center.

Conveniently located just blocks from the iWireless Center at 1601 River Drive, Pub 1848 is a favorite spot in historic downtown Moline for drinks, laughs and plenty of fun.

Tickets for all Mallards regular season home games can be purchased at the iWireless Center ticket office, Ticketmaster outlets, through ticketmaster.com or through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000.  The ticket office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on game days from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the second period.
