With warmer weather upon us, we are excited to to share information on three very popular upcoming QCESC STEM opportunities for students and volunteers.

  • 2016 Materials Day Camp
Do you know a high-school student who is interested in engineering?
Materials play a huge role in the way we live today and how we will live tomorrow. Many students in secondary education are not aware of the career opportunities available in this field.
In support of the John Deere Inspire initiative, the Quad Cities chapter of ASM International, the professional society for materials engineers and scientists, is sponsoring a three-day day camp to expose students to what materials engineers do.

The camp will include hands-on experiments as well as factory tours of John Deere Harvester Works and the ALCOA Davenport Works.
