DES MOINES, IA (08/14/2014)(readMedia)-- Elron Farms of Lost Nation showed the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Females in the Milking Shorthorn Dairy Cattle show judged Thursday at the 2014 Iowa State Fair.
Byers Dairy Farm of Milo received the Premier Exhibitor title. Elron Farms also claimed the Reserve Premier Exhibitor title.
Innisfail Herd of Dixon, Calif., won Premier Breeder title, and North Star Milking Shorthorns of Braham, Minn., took the Reserve Premier Breeder title.
The Premier Breeder Award is given to the competitor who earns the most points for animals bred and exhibited by the entrant or others during the day's show. The Premier Exhibitor Award is given to the exhibitor who accumulates the most points based upon the day's placings.
