Wildman’s June visit is in conjunction with The Discovery of King Tut exhibit and also includes a Q&A presentation and autograph signing

May 24, 2016 (DAVENPORT, Iowa) – Don Wildman, the host of Travel Channel’s “Mysteries at the Museum” will visit the Quad Cities June 17 and 18 in conjunction with the Putnam Museum’s nationally-acclaimed blockbuster exhibition, The Discovery of King Tut.

As part of the visit, the Putnam is launching a contest to give 20 visitors a chance to personally meet and interact with Wildman during an exclusive Meet & Greet evening event on Friday, June 17 from 5 - 8 p.m. The event will take place on the museum’s balcony and feature heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.

All that’s required to enter the contest is to purchase a Discovery of King Tut exhibit ticket online at tutnam.org before June 8. The date of the visit is up to the ticket holder and can take place any time before The Discovery of King Tut exhibit closes on Sept. 5.

On June 9, the Putnam team will draw 20 winners from the pool of ticket holders at random for the exclusive Wildman Meet & Greet. The public also has a chance to purchase tickets for this event for $50 at http://bit.ly/1WggMd5.

“We are so excited to welcome Don to the Putnam and give our visitors an opportunity to learn more about his adventures and experiences hosting ‘Mysteries at the Museum,’” said Kim Findlay, president and CEO of the Putnam. “During the King Tut exhibit run in New York City, Don made a video about the exhibit. His delight with the exhibit and his many museum exploits make Don’s visit a knockout opening for Quad Cities Museums Week. Don is a modern-day explorer and the King Tut exhibit offers Putnam visitors a “you-are-there” opportunity to become explorers as well.”

In addition to the Meet & Greet contest, the Putnam is providing visitors with two other opportunities to interact with Wildman.

On Saturday, June 18 from 11 a.m. – noon, Wildman will give a presentation with a Q&A session in the Putnam’s National Geographic GIANT Screen Theater about his adventures hosting the “Mysteries at the Museum” and “Mysteries at the Monument” documentary television shows. Tickets to enter the event are $15.

In addition, Wildman will hold an autograph session between 1 - 4 p.m. Saturday, June 18. Timed visit entry tickets to The Discovery of King Tut exhibit between 1 and 4 p.m. are required to access the autograph signing.

Wildman is fast becoming one of the most recognizable faces in documentary television. On Travel Channel’s “Mysteries at the Museum,” Wildman takes viewers across the United States, delving deep into the vaults of the nation's most revered institutions and unearthing wondrous treasures from the nation’s past.

He also hosts “Mysteries at the Monument” and co-hosts “The Trip: 2015” alongside Samantha Brown, Bert Kreischer and Anthony Melchiorri, a one-hour special exploring the grand beauty and hidden adventures of Hawaii.
