  • Also, Wednesday, November 9th St. Ambrose University Engineering department will host our annual "Exploring Engineering" event on  at the Rogalski Center on the St. Ambrose campus in Davenport, IA.  Doors open at 5:30PM, activities start at 6PM and will conclude by 8PM.  The event is meant to provide information to high school and community college students, their parents, and teachers about engineering and local/regional career opportunities in the field.  Contact: Jodi Prosise, PhD at ProsiseJodiF@sau.edu
     
  • Call for Volunteers - FIRST Robotics Upcoming Quad Cities Events. Can be Adult, College or High School Students. no experience necessary.
    CURRENT NEED: Saturday, November 12th FIRST TECH Challenge (FTC) Dual league meet with QC Iowa & Western Illinois Teams at Pleasant Valley High School, 8:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.  
     
    Also, seeking volunteers for December 3, 10 and 11!

    Anyone with the time and desire, can be a volunteer at a FIRST event which are one day or less.  For the Quad Cities, more than 300 volunteers are needed to support 15 FIRST events from November through April supporting approximately 1,500 students age 6-18.  No previous experience or technical background is required for many of the volunteer positions. Volunteers can be high school students and above.
