Rock Island, IL: The Rock Island Public Library has launched a new website at its current address, www.rockislandlibrary.org, with design support from Sedona Technologies.

The new site incorporates responsive design, for increased ease of use with mobile phones and tablets. Direct links at the top menu offer quick access to the library catalog, patron account sign in, events calendar and space booking services, and to drop down menus for frequently asked questions, library resources, and general information. Check it Out, Download It, Research It and Find it Fast short cuts below the rotating news and event slides offer quick access to frequently visited pages. Library locations, links to social media sites, and an email news sign up are at the bottom of each page.

Design for the new site was donated by Sedona Technologies, with library staff filling in content. "Modernizing the library's website with simple-to-use links and navigation is another step to fulfilling the Library's strategic plan. We are extremely grateful for the donation of design services for this very important project," said Angela Campbell, Rock Island Library director.

The in-kind donation was initiated by the Rock Island Public Library Foundation, a private 501c3 foundation dedicated to supporting special library needs and projects.
