Salvador Dalí: Twelve Signs of the Zodiac
This show will be on display Monday, February 29 – Thursday, March 31, 2016, with a gallery reception Wednesday, March 9, 2016, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM, prior to Live at Heritage Center Performing Arts Series event: Alpin Hong’s “Chasing Chopin.”
This exhibition focuses on the 1967 lithographs produced by famed Spanish surrealist, Salvador Dalí. The works, on loan from the Dubuque Museum of Art, turn the Bisignano Art Gallery into an artistic, if not surrealistic, astrological art chart.

In My Backyard: Snapshot of UD Students
This exhibit, organized by Student Life and the Bisignano Art Gallery, is as much a sociological survey as an art show. While the University of Dubuque nestles neatly on the Mississippi River at the confluence of Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois, the student body is anything but reflective of Midwestern homogeneity.
We are diverse at UD and one way to view this diversity is, literally, through our ‘backyards’. This show will feature videos, interviews, and pictures of 18 students’ backyards. We will get to know the students in this rather unique way. The show will be on display Monday, April 4 – Friday, April 15, 2016, with a gallery reception Saturday, April 9, 2016, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM, prior to Live at Heritage Center Performing Arts Series event: SFJAZZ Collective: The Music of Michael Jackson.

The EDGE Exhibition
The show will be on display Monday, April 18 – Friday, April 29, 2016, with a gallery reception Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 5:00 PM, as a part of UD’s APEX Conference: A Celebration of Student In its 12th year, this student show focuses on the creative ideas of computer graphics students at UD.
While these students work around the clock to create logos or websites or printed material and brochures in the classes, this exhibit allows the students’ creative juices to flow.
Every CGIM major is required to submit one fine arts work. Monetary awards from graduates of the CGIM program will be presented as well as the Best of Show, which will be purchased for the University’s permanent collection. As part of APEX, this show should not be missed.

All graduating seniors in the Computer Graphics and Interactive Media Department are required to participate in this Senior Thesis Exhibit. As partial fulfillment of the Computer Graphics Senior Seminar, students create three original works plus a thesis statement. The show is always a mixture of edgy aesthetics and celebration.
