Fathom Events and Omniverse invite audiences in select U.S. cities to experience legendary lyricist Tim Rice's adaptation of the classic World War II story, "From Here to Eternity," in advance of the musical's opening on Broadway later this fall. For three night's only - Thursday, October 2 at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, October 5 at 12:55 p.m. and Thursday, October 9 at 7:30 p.m., all local time - theater aficionados in nearly 400 cinemas across the country will be captivated by the story of illicit love and Army life during wartime, with lyrics by Rice ("Jesus Christ Superstar," "Evita"), music by Stuart Brayson and book by Bill Oakes. Adapted from James Jones' 1951 novel, and set in the South Pacific, the musical had its premiere in 2013 at London's Shaftesbury Theatre. The three fall showings of "From Here to Eternity" will also feature approximately 20 minutes of behind-the-scenes and making-of footage.
