Area Benedictine and Humility of Mary Catholic Sisters will be publicly calling for care of the earth Wed. Jan. 27 at 12:30 pm in downtown Davenport.

Standing under a billboard they are sponsoring (photo below) at 4th and Iowa Streets, the Sisters will host a prayer service in advance of the Iowa caucuses.

The reason?

To support legislation to reduce carbon emissions, develop clean energy policies, and provide financial assistance to developing countries, and to make sure caucus delegates, potential presidential candidates, and voters remember this critical issue.
