JUDGE: Iowans expect Chuck Grassley to do his job, not bring back decades old arguments in an attempt to take away our rights

DES MOINES, Iowa – U.S. Senate candidate Patty Judge released the following statement ahead of Chuck Grassley’s hearing Tuesday on restricting access to abortion:

“Chuck Grassley has finally found a hearing he believes is worthy of his time. Unfortunately, it’s not about filling a Supreme Court vacancy, creating jobs in Iowa, or any of the issues that Iowans should expect from him. Instead, he has scheduled a hearing to debate an issue settled twenty years ago: Whether or not women in Iowa and across the nation should be able to make their own health care decisions. Iowans expect Chuck Grassley to do his job, not bring back decades old arguments in an attempt to take away our rights.”

Grassley’s will hold his hearing, entitled “Late-Term Abortion: Protecting Babies Born Alive and Capable of Feeling Pain" at 9:00 AM Tuesday.
