DES MOINES, Iowa – One day after announcing a broad network of support from Democratic leaders and activists across Iowa, Patty Judge has announced that Sam Roecker will serve as the campaign manager for her U.S. Senate race.
“We’re off to a strong start in this campaign. We’re on the ballot, we have over 3,000 individual contributors, a broad and growing network of support from Democratic leaders and activists, and now we have a strong campaign manager to keep the momentum going,” said Patty Judge. “Sam Roecker is well-respected, he knows Iowa, and I’m excited to have him on my team.”
“This is an exciting race. I’ve known Patty for many years and I have no doubt that she can beat Chuck Grassley,” said Sam Roecker. “We’re going to run an aggressive campaign that holds Chuck Grassley accountable for being part of the problem in Washington, while showing voters that Patty Judge has never stopped fighting for the people of Iowa.”
Earlier this week, Patty Judge announced the support of nearly 60 Democratic leaders and activists across the state. Supporters include every living Democratic woman to have held statewide office in Iowa, former Congressman Leonard Boswell, Brad Anderson, Jill June, and a number of current and former elected officials, and county and state Democratic Party chairs.
Roecker has several years of experience working with Democratic candidates and organizations in Iowa, including the Iowa Democratic Party and Christie Vilsack’s congressional campaign. Most recently he has worked for Link Strategies in Des Moines, helping Democratic organizations, candidates, and causes with strategic communication and organizing.
