Quad Cities, USA:  The Salvation Army of the Quad Cities and Davenport Rotary present Stuff the Bus 2016. Collection events are as follows:

PLACES AND TIMES:

Friday, July 22nd:                 6:00am – 6:00pm at KWQC – Channel 6 drive-thru drop off
Saturday, July 23rd:         10:00am – 4:00pm Wal-Marts--Moline, Silvis, Davenport (Elmore, Kimberly)

                                4:30pm – 6:00pm River Bandits Game – All those who donate will                                
                                receive a BOGO ticket voucher for the August 29th game

 

Members of the community are encouraged to donate school supplies to stuff the bus so that low-income, homeless, or needy children in the Quad Cities will be prepared on the first day of school.  Items needed include backpacks, loose-leaf paper, spiral notebooks, pencils and pencil boxes, pocket folders, pens, crayons, glue sticks, tissues, scissors, erasers, washable markers, and hand sanitizer.

Supplies will be distributed to children at the Family Service Center, Boys and Girls Club, Arrowhead Ranch and other children in need. If you would like to receive school supplies for your children, community distribution will be held August 17th from 9 am to 3 pm at The Salvation Army Corp, 3400 W Central Park, Davenport for those living in Iowa. In Illinois, The Salvation Army Heritage Temple, 2200 5th Ave, Moline, will distribute August 8th through 11th 6 from 9 am to 4 pm. Bring ID of every school aged child, K-8, with current address.
