Aurora, CO. —TREA: The Enlisted Association (TREA), a federally chartered Veteran’s Service Organization headquartered in Aurora, CO, recently got stronger by adding 11,353 former members of the National Association for Uniformed Services (NAUS) to its roster.
NAUS ceased operations effective December 31, 2016. In an effort to ensure that their members continue to share the camaraderie and concerns that are unique to military enlisted, retired or active duty, NAUS and TREA leadership worked closely to smoothly shift NAUS members to TREA.
"With the growth in membership, TREA will have a louder voice in Washington, D.C., where they champion the preservation of military benefits," says TREA National President John Adams of Colorado Springs, CO. Like NAUS used to, TREA uses the collective voices of its membership, through its Washington Legislative Affairs office, to lobby members of Congress to preserve the benefits the past, present and future members of the Armed Forces earn and deserve.
These new members of TREA will enjoy the same benefits that thousands of TREA members have enjoyed since the organization was established in 1963. Benefits, such as; TREA’s quarterly magazine THE VOICE, participation in TREA’s annual National Convention (2017 Pittsburgh), and discounts on a myriad of products and services. But, most of all, the new members will continue to be a part of an elite group of like minded, service oriented people who share the special and unbreakable bond of military brother/sister hood.
