May 9, 2017 - The Hilltop Campus Village is pleased to announce the 1st Annual Mother’s Day Eve, a day full of shopping, crafts and a movie under the stars. It is a day of thanks for mothers for all they do, have done, and will continue to do.
The celebration begins the day before Mother’s Day, May 13, 2017 starting at 8 am with shopping on the Hilltop.
We invite families to spend the day shopping, eating, and exploring the Hilltop Campus Village. They will find delicious pastries at the award winning East Side Bakery, lunch service at Greatest Grains, Zeke’s, Jimmy’s King Gyro, Rico’s Tropical Cantina, Los Compadres, Village Inn, Rock’s Anchor Grill or Mary Sue’s. Boutiques such as Winnie’s Wishes, Flipped out Furniture, Smile Labs, Celebrity Wigs, D’Allen Salon, Estate Sale, Hickory Hollow, Hats, Hair ‘n Wigs, and Rocket Resale will also be open and ready for business, along with many others. Visitors can also see projects underway that will bring more to the area.
Then at 4pm, kids are welcome to bring their moms to the Hilltop Plaza on the corner of 15th and Harrison to build fairy and/or dinosaur gardens. The basic supplies, such as pots, soil and flowers and herb seeds will be available in the Plaza. Several Hilltop businesses will also be handing out trinkets to fill the gardens (maps will be available). Sidewalk chalk for sidewalk pictures to create fun pieces of art will also be available.
Then, at 8pm, families are invited to join us for an outdoor showing on a giant inflatable screen of the 1982 Steven Spielberg classic, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.
The movie will start at dusk, or around 8pm. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Iconic Reese’s Pieces during the movie will be served.
