(DES MOINES) – Gov. Kim Reynolds and Lt. Gov. Adam Gregg encouraged Iowans Thursday to make nominations for the fourth annual Iowa Job Honor Awards.

The Iowa Job Honor Awards celebrate “a new kind of hero”—Iowans who overcome obstacles to employment and the employers who hire them. Each top employee honoree will receive $500. Winners in both the employee and employer categories will receive engraved awards.

The awards will be presented at the Iowa Society for Human Resource Management Conference at Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines on October 12.

America’s Job Honor Awards was founded in Iowa in 2014 and is spreading across the Midwest. Previous employee honorees have overcome disabilities, criminal convictions and language barriers.

Nominations can be made online at www.JobHonor.org through July 31.
