MOLINE, ILLINOIS (August 22, 2022) — American Red Cross and community partner volunteers will be installing free smoke alarms in Moline’s Floreciente Neighborhood this week. Teams of volunteers will be visiting homes Wednesday, August 24. In addition to installing smoke alarms, volunteers will be providing fire safety information to residents.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (January 29, 2019) — Earlier this morning, Public Works crews temporarily returned to Posted Snow Routes due to a recent dusting and significant blowing and drifting that is occurring. Teams will finish clearing residential streets later this morning/early afternoon. Once residential roads are clear, crews will re-run and spot clear routes across the city.

Slick road conditions are possible in areas where blowing and drifting is occurring.

Hey everybody!  Well the snow has stopped and the sidewalk is cleared so I thought I would take a moment to send you the following update from Public Works.

Crews transitioned snow removal efforts to residential roads early this morning.  Please park off-street on residential roads today, Sunday, January 13, when you are able.  Parking off-street helps crews to clear roads more safely and efficiently, especially on narrow roadways. 

Ascentra Credit Union Foundation Provides Grant to Purchase New Van

The Boys and Girls Club of the Mississippi Valley (BGCMV) got everything crossed off their wish list this year thanks to a generous $10,000 grant from the Ascentra Credit Union Foundation which enabled them to get a new set of wheels.

Nataly Kogan to give keynote address

With a goal of raising awareness and funds to end childhood hunger in our community, River Bend Foodbank will host its inaugural Women Fighting Hunger Event, Thursday, March 28, 2019, 5:30 p.m., at Rhythm City Casino, Davenport. The cost to attend the event is $45 for individuals, or $400 for an advance table of 10. All proceeds will support programming and initiatives that feed hungry children.
