DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 8, 2023) As of Sunday, May 7, the American Red Cross has provided 4,322 meals to those affected by the flooding in the Quad Cities. The Red Cross will continue daily meal service through Wednesday, May 10, serving lunch daily 12-2PM and dinner 5-7PM.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (April 27, 2023) — In response to the flooding along the Mississippi River, the American Red Cross has opened a shelter at 1111 West Kimberly Rd in Davenport, Iowa. The shelter is available for individuals affected by the flooding. Pets are allowed, provided owners bring a kennel and all pet supplies.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (February 20, 2023) American Red Cross volunteers in the Quad Cities and West Central Illinois chapter responded to three home fires in Hannibal (Missouri), Moline (Illinois) and Taylor (Missouri) in the past week and provided assistance to eleven individuals, through supplying them with basic items to meet immediate needs after a fire, and additional support in the form of health and mental-health services and one-on-one support.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (September 21, 2022) — The American Red Cross of Illinois is pleased to announce three new members have joined the Quad Cities and West Central Illinois chapter’s Board of Directors. The chapter welcomes Ashley Hendon, Randy Moore, and Jenny Parvin as board members.

Ashley Hendon is a commercial relationship manager for Wells Fargo. She has worked for Wells Fargo for more than fifteen years, in multiple roles.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (August 22, 2022) — American Red Cross and community partner volunteers will be installing free smoke alarms in Moline’s Floreciente Neighborhood this week. Teams of volunteers will be visiting homes Wednesday, August 24. In addition to installing smoke alarms, volunteers will be providing fire safety information to residents.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 26, 2022) — The American Red Cross is excited to be back in-person for A Taste on the River! This year’s event will take place Thursday, June 16, 6PM, at Bend XPO in East Moline. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased online.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (February 14, 2022) — Red Cross volunteers responded to two home fires in the Quad Cities and West Central Illinois from February 7 through today. Volunteers responded to incidents in Galesburg (Illinois) and Alexis (Illinois).

MOLINE – Signaling the start of construction season, the Illinois Department of Transportation and Illinois State Police will be joined by industry partners, construction workers and families impacted by work-zone tragedies to remind everyone to drive safely in Illinois work zones this year. The event is part of National Work Zone Awareness Week and will highlight major projects in the area.
