The Senate Baltic Freedom Caucus has been without a Republican co-chair.

 

This is a critical time to show solidarity with our Baltic allies given Russian aggression against Ukraine starting in 2014, following on Russian military intervention in the Republic of Georgia in 2008.

 

WASHINGTON – Sen. Chuck Grassley said today that summer internships for college-aged Iowans are available. Applications are due Thursday, March 15.

Internships are available in Grassley offices in Washington, D.C., Cedar Rapids, Council Bluffs, Davenport, Des Moines, Sioux City and Waterloo. The summer internship program is divided into two separate sessions. The first session runs from May 21 through June 29 and the second runs from July 10 to August 10.

Thursday, February 15, 2018 - WASHINGTON – Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley today made the following statement after the Senate failed to pass the legislation to provide legal status for immigrants brought to the United States illegally as children.  The Secure and Succeed Act, the only proposal to be supported by the White House, would have also provided for additional border security and included the four key immigration pillars agreed to at a bipartisan, bicamera

In order to address reports and fear of escalating persecution of immigrant families across the country, a group of volunteers known as La Resistencia created a hotline for reporting activity of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This statewide hotline, a tool for Iowa immigrant families and allies to use to respond to needs created by ICE persecution, was created in February of 2017.
