Staff Safe After Ascentra Credit Union Moline Branch Robbery

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 27, 2019) — This morning, a robbery occurred at the Ascentra Moline branch located at 3005 7th Street. The situation was effectively handled and everyone is safe. The incident is under investigation and more information will be forthcoming from local authorities.

Ascentra Credit Union is Giving $10,000 in Scholarships to Area Students

Ascentra Credit Union is now accepting applications for the 2018-2019 school year for their annual scholarship competition.  A total of $10,000 in scholarships will be awarded to ten of their members to help offset the costs of attending a college or university. Scholarships will be awarded as follows:

·         Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school students planning to enter college

Making a Tot’s Day – Ascentra Credit Union is Partnering with Holiday Network

Every holiday season, Toys for Tots donation boxes fill each of Ascentra Credit Union’s branches from Muscatine, Iowa to the Quad Cities and up to Clinton, Iowa.  It is a tradition at the credit union that has led their staff to support the organization by raising additional funds through organizing a bake sale and donating $5 to dress Casual for a Cause, then using the proceeds to go on a toy shopping spree.

BETTENDORF, IOWA – The Ascentra Credit Union Foundation has announced the recipients of its 2018 Leadership Grants.  This summer, the foundation awarded a total of $17,000 to 31 different organizations and charities throughout the region.
