Saturday, September 2, 7:30 p.m.
iWireless Center, 1201 River Drive, Moline IL
Headlining an evening of World Wrestling Entertainment matches, Randy Orton and Jinder Mahal will compete in a Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Championship, having previously faced off in a May 2017 bout won by Mahal.
A third-generation professional wrestler, the 37-year-old Orton is a 13-time world champion, having held the WWE Championship nine times and the World Heavyweight Championship tour times. He was also the winner of the 2013 Money in the Bank ladder match, the 2009 and 2017 Royal Rumble matches, and has headlined multiple pay-per-view events for WWE. In May, however, Orton lost his WWE Championship title to the 31-year-old Indo-Canadian Mahal – born Yuvraj Singh Dhesi – who is now the 50th WWE Champion and the first of that classification's wrestlers to be of Indian descent.
The iWireless Center's September 2 WWE Live card will also boast the United States Championship Match with AJ Styles facing off against Kevin Owens, plus bouts with WWE stars including Charlotte, Baron Corbin, Becky Lynch, Shinsuke Nakamura, Naomi, The New Day, The USOs, Sami Zayn, and Dolph Ziggler. Tickets are $18.50-$108.50, and available by calling (800)745-3000 or visiting iWirelessCenter.com.
