DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 1, 2020) — This program is called Mother/Daughter Book Club, but we invite mothers, daughters, fathers, sons, aunts, big brothers, grandfathers, uncles, grandmothers, big sisters, cousins, and best friends to read together this summer.

Register and pick up your copy of the new classic, One Crazy Summer, by Rita Williams-Garcia, and then join Miss Amber at 10AM on Saturday, July 11, 2020, on Zoom for a fun book-club discussion and a read together bookmark craft!

This book club is open to tweens and teens (ages 8-14) and their grownup/older teen. You will be notified when the book-and-bookmark supplies are ready for pick-up and we will send the Zoom details one day prior to the program using the e-mail you provide in registration, so make sure you watch for the Library in your inbox! Registration closes two days before the event in order to distribute supplies. E-mail Amber Carlson at acarlson@davenportlibrary.com with questions.

Keep up with our virtual programming on our Virtual Branch Calendar of Events at https://davenportlibrary.libcal.com/calendar/virtual.

These events are free and open to the public. For more information visit www.davenportlibrary.com or call the library at (563) 326-7832.

Help Keep the Reader Alive and Free Since '93!

"We're the River Cities' Reader, and we've kept the Quad Cities' only independently owned newspaper alive and free since 1993.

So please help the Reader keep going with your one-time, monthly, or annual support. With your financial support the Reader can continue providing uncensored, non-scripted, and independent journalism alongside the Quad Cities' area's most comprehensive cultural coverage." - Todd McGreevy, Publisher
