DAVENPORT, IOWA (January 5, 2021) — Gilda’s Club is hosting a FREE virtual workshop for anyone impacted by cancer on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, 6-7PM via Zoom.
Join Gilda’s Club Quad Cities via Zoom to learn about a program to help with treatment decision-making. Open to Options is a one-on-one, evidence-based, shared decision-making program that helps patients prepare a highly personalized list of questions, concerns, and goals to share with the MD as part of the treatment decision-making process. It can help organize thoughts, make sure that goals are in the forefront of the decision-making process, and curate a list of questions for your doctor.
Open to Options can help:
- Reduce distress and anxiety;
- Increase confidence in asking questions;
- 9% of eligible patients enrolling in a clinical trial; and
- Physicians reporting a more-productive appointment.
This workshop will also be broadcast to Facebook Live at facebook.com/gildasclubqc.
Anyone impacted by cancer is invited to attend. Registration is required at http://www.gildasclubqc.org/calendar. For questions, please call Gilda’s Club at 563-326-7504 or e-mail kcraft@gildasclubqc.org.
