DES MOINES, IOWA (May 13, 2025) — Just 24 hours after launching his campaign for governor, Rob Sand’s campaign announced raising a record of over $2.25 million, including donations from all 99 Iowa counties, breaking state records for the most raised in that period in the state’s gubernatorial campaign history. This over $2.25 million haul does not include any self-funding or donations from the candidate’s in-laws, and includes donations from Democrats, Republicans, and Independents across the state.

“For too long, Iowa families have been left behind while our elected officials work for their special interests and powerful insiders. These last 24 hours have proven that Iowans are rejecting the status quo that has left them worse off, and are ready for something different,” said Rob Sand.

“Iowans from every county came together to support this campaign because they know that I’ll put them first and get to work on day one solving some of our state’s toughest challenges. I’m grateful to the Iowans who put their trust in me and who gave their hard-earned dollars to support this campaign so I can continue fighting for all Iowans in the governor’s office.”

This record-breaking haul builds on Rob’s previous momentum — raising $8.4 million from more than 28,000 grassroots supporters in an off-year and before he even launched his campaign for governor.
