ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (February 16, 2026) — YWCA Quad Cities invites members of the media and community to get a first look at Alan’s House, its new DCFS-licensed youth group home, during a special Open House on Thursday, February 19.

Before officially opening its doors and welcoming residents, YWCA Quad Cities will host an Open House, 4-6PM, at 229 16th Street, Rock Island, IL (YWCA’s former location).

Guests will have the opportunity to tour the space, learn more about the services Alan’s House will provide, and hear about the vision behind the program. Opening remarks will begin at 4:30PM, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Alan’s House will serve youth ages ten through seventeen who have been removed from their families due to abuse, neglect, or other difficult circumstances. The home will be licensed to serve up to ten youth placed by DCFS and four youth placed by DHS. It will be the only youth group home in the area.

The program will provide comprehensive wraparound services, including counseling, case management, life skills groups, and educational and vocational support. Youth will be supervised 24/7 by licensed and trained staff.
