MOLINE, ILLINOIS (May 21, 2026) — Two trusted, mission-driven organizations are partnering to strengthen and expand mental health services for individuals and families in Clinton County through a strategic transition designed to enhance care for the communities they serve.
Beginning in June, Bethany for Children and Families and Community Health Care Inc (CHC) will begin a phased ninety-day transition of select psychiatric and outpatient therapy services currently provided through Bridgeview Community Mental Health Center in Clinton, a subsidiary of Bethany. Through this collaboration, CHC will expand its outpatient services in Clinton, while Bethany sharpens its focus on children and families across the Quad Cities region.
Bethany will continue providing school-based therapy, behavioral health-intervention services, and intensive psychiatric rehabilitation to children and families throughout Clinton, Jackson, and Scott Counties, with plans to further expand those services into Illinois. By this fall, all retained services will fall solely under the Bethany brand.
“This is a strategic decision rooted in how each organization can create the greatest impact,” said Lara Ingram, President and CEO of Bethany for Children and Families.
“Bethany was founded to serve children and families, and this transition allows us to deepen that commitment while ensuring the community continues to have strong access to adult behavioral health services through CHC.”
CHC, which provides medical-, dental-, and behavioral-health services throughout eastern Iowa and western Illinois, will build upon its existing presence in Clinton by expanding outpatient mental-health-care access for area residents.
“Our organizations share a commitment to community wellness and accessible care,” said Tom Bowman, CEO of Community Health Care Inc.
“This partnership creates an opportunity to strengthen behavioral health services in Clinton while ensuring individuals continue receiving the support they need without interruption.”
Throughout the transition, Bethany and CHC will work closely together to coordinate care and maintain continuity of services for current clients. Patients will be receiving a letter with instructions on next steps.
Individuals receiving services will be guided through the transition process with personalized support and referrals as needed. If questions arise prior, they can call the office at (563) 243-5633.
CHC intends to lease the Bridgeview space and deliver services at the same location. Bridgeview staff members will also be presented with employment opportunities through CHC as part of the transition effort.
Bethany for Children and Families will continue advancing its mission of keeping children safe, strengthening families, and building healthy communities through its broad range of child welfare, behavioral health, education, and family support programs. Founded in 1899, Bethany serves more than 15,000 children and families annually across the greater Quad Cities region.
Community Health Care Inc provides comprehensive medical, dental and behavioral health to over 50,000 patients in eastern Iowa and Western Illinois and has been operating its Clinton Clinic since 2015.
