ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (July 29, 2026) — EveryChild is inviting expectant parents and families with infants up to three months old to attend Babies and Bumps, a free community event designed to celebrate growing families while connecting them with valuable resources and support.

The event will take place on Saturday, August 1, 10AM-2PM, at EveryChild, 420 23rd Street, Rock Island, Illinois.

Families will enjoy complimentary maternity photos, newborn photos, and creative belly (bump) painting while learning about the many no-cost services EveryChild offers to help children and families build strong, healthy futures. Current and past families who have participated in EveryChild programs will also be available to share their experiences with attendees.

"Babies and Bumps is about so much more than taking beautiful photos," said Jessica Smith, Director of Home Visiting at EveryChild.

"It's an opportunity for families to discover that they don't have to navigate pregnancy and the early months of parenthood alone. We want every family to know that support, education, and encouragement are available at no cost."

Throughout the event, families can meet EveryChild staff and learn about programs including:

Home visiting services for expecting and new parents;

Parent education and child-development support;

Early childhood mental-health services;

Family support and prevention programs; and

Community resources that promote healthy child development.

EveryChild serves thousands of children and families across the Quad Cities each year by strengthening families through prevention, education, treatment, and advocacy. The organization's free programs are designed to help children grow up safe, supported, and nurtured from the very beginning.

The event is open to all families who are expecting or have a baby up to three months old. There is no cost to attend and no registration is required.
