DAVENPORT, IOWA (October 1, 2026) — The Machine Shed Restaurant is celebrating National Pork Month with the return of Porktober. Pork sampling, in store and social-media events, and a menu featuring chef-inspired pork dishes that showcase the flavors of fall and honor the hardworking pork producers who help bring quality ingredients from farm to table.
Available October 1 through October 31, the limited-time Porktober menu highlights the versatility of pork through a variety of appetizers, entrées and sandwiches inspired by harvest season and Midwest comfort food traditions.
“National Pork Month is a natural fit for The Machine Shed. Porktober gives us an opportunity to celebrate the farmers behind the food and the traditions that make gathering around the table special” said John Leiendecker, the Heart of America Group Culinary Director.
Featured Porktober menu items include:
Belly Up
Crispy pork belly bites tossed in a maple-bourbon glaze, topped with crispy fried onions and finished with whole-grain mustard aioli.
Orchard Braised Pork
Apple-cider braised pork shoulder served with roasted sweet potatoes, chef-seasoned greens and rich braising jus.
Harvest Ribeye
An eight-ounce pan-seared pork ribeye served with creamy Parmesan polenta, sweet corn chimichurri and pickled peppers.
Sweet Heat Chopwich
A marinated grilled pork chop served on toasted brioche with sambal butter and fresh cilantro.
National Pork Month also provides an opportunity to recognize the dedication of pork producers and farm families whose work supports communities and tables across the country. As a restaurant rooted in agricultural traditions, The Machine Shed continues its commitment to celebrating the people and products that make great farm-to-table meals possible.
In addition to the featured Porktober menu items, guests can enjoy The Machine Shed's signature hospitality, including homemade bread, real butter, and the restaurant's famous Shed-Style Fixins served alongside many entrées.
