DES MOINES, IOWA (December 2, 2025) — Community leaders, Fareway Stores, and the Iowa Pork Producers Association (IPPA) have joined Central Iowa Shelter and Services (CISS) for the ninth-annual Giving Tuesday breakfast, preparing and serving hundreds of warm meals to individuals experiencing homelessness across three Iowa communities.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (November 24, 2025) — As the growing season comes to a close, the Quad Cities community has something to celebrate: Home gardeners and community volunteers across the region turned their summer harvests into thousands of pounds of fresh produce for neighbors in need. The effort — which began as a simple invitation to “grow a little extra” — blossomed into a movement of generosity, culminated with a celebration on Monday, November 24, at Tapestry Farms in Davenport.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 18, 2025) — The cherished tradition of Mr. Thanksgiving’s 55th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner is back, continuing its mission to make sure no one spends the holiday alone. This year’s meal will be served on Thanksgiving Day, 4-7PM, at Mercado on Fifth, 423 12th Street, Moline.
