Breweries Across the State to Participate in the First Iowa Pint Day

DES MOINES, IOWA (June 4, 2021) — Saturday, June 5 marks the first Iowa Pint Day, a release day of a collectable beer glass supporting Iowa breweries. Only 1,000 of these collectible pint glasses were made and are spread out across the state at participating Iowa breweries.

Iowa Restaurant Association Announces First Round of Restaurant Employee Relief Fund Grants Have Been Distributed

DES MOINES, IOWA (June 1, 2020) — The Iowa Restaurant Association announced today that the first round of Iowa Restaurant Employee Relief Fund grants have been distributed to 75 recipients across the state. Funds were distributed to eligible workers on a first-apply, first-receive basis in the form of $250 one-time grants.

Iowa Statewide Professional Culinary Competition Winners Announced

DES MOINES, IOWA (November 19, 2019) — On Monday, the Iowa Restaurant Association, in collaboration with The Soyfoods Council and the Iowa Beef Industry Council, completed their statewide culinary competition at a Celebratory Gala at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines. The two-part competition challenged top chefs from across Iowa to create an entrée featuring a Beef Sirloin Ball Tip Steak and a soy-based side dish or sauce.
