Honorees must earn a semester grade-point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) to be included in the biannual Dean's List. In total, 361 students received the honor during the Fall 2020 semester. ROLLA, MISSOURI (February 17, 2021) — Approximately 800 students received degrees from Missouri University of Science and Technology at the close of the fall semester. The graduates were honored during a virtual commencement ceremony, hosted on the university's Facebook page on Saturday, Dec. 19. The virtual ceremony allowed the university to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines, which prohibit in-person events with more than 10 participants.

IOWA CITY, IOWA (February 17, 2021) — The University of Iowa's newspaper, The Daily Iowan was named the Iowa Newspaper Association's 2021 Newspaper of the Year, beating the Des Moines Register and every other professional newspaper in the state.

Sarah Watson of De Witt, Iowa, was one of 10 Iowa students who were first-place award-winners.

PELLA, IOWA (February 16, 2021) — Central College student Paige Roehlk of Davenport, Iowa, is participating in a Spring 2021 internship with Crisis Intervention Services.

DES MOINES, IOWA (February 16, 2021) — The Iowa Association of School Boards (IASB) awarded 73 board members, five board teams, seven superintendents, and one chief administrator with a 2019-20 Better Boardsmanship Award. The annual awards are given to individuals and teams who dedicate time and effort to learning, advocacy, leadership, and service projects to expand their knowledge and skills for better governance.

BEREA, OHIO (February 16, 2021) — Alexandra Minyard of Milan, Illinois (61264), was among 13 student leaders welcomed to the legislative and judicial branches of Baldwin Wallace University's student government during the Fall 2020 semester. Minyard, a graduate of Rockridge High School majoring in psychology and theatre acting and directing, was appointed to the position of Student Senator.
