Road Involved: 52nd Avenue is OPEN between 310th Street and 50th Avenue

Date Opened: Friday, April 21, 2017

Description of Closure: The road was closed for a culvert replacement project over a Tributary to the Wapsipinicon River.  This project has been substantially completed and the road is open to traffic.

On Thursday, April 20, 2017, the Sheriff’s Office presented a Life Saving Award immediately following the promotional ceremony at 9:00 a.m. in the Sheriff’s Office Administrative Conference Room in the Scott County Courthouse.

Scott County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Joe Caffery and Deputy Dan Grafton are the recipients of the Life Saving Award.

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, April 18th, the westbound lanes of 53rd Street will be reduced from Northwest Boulevard west to Villa Drive in order for contractors to perform water service repairs.

If possible, please use an alternative route and as always, please drive safely through construction areas.

Starting Wednesday, April 19th traffic on East Locust Street at and near College Avenue will be reduced down to one lane in each direction in order for contractors to perform sewer line repairs.

Repairs and lane reductions are expected through Wednesday, April 26th. To avoid traffic delays please use another route if possible and as always, use caution when driving through construction areas.
