The City of Davenport, the Downtown Davenport Partnership and the Figge Art Museum will host an open house from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on March 20, the first step in developing an integrated art plan for the city’s riverfront.

The Iowa and Illinois departments of transportation are holding two public meetings to discuss Phase 2 of construction on the I-74 Mississippi River Bridge project. Attendees can get information on the construction schedule, road closures, what to expect during construction, environmental efforts to date, and ways to stay in the know.

Due to a sewer and water line collapse, the two eastbound lanes of E Locust St between Kenwood and Forest Rd are being closed effective immediately. The two westbound lanes are currently open, however, this may change depending on conditions. The detour for eastbound Locust St, is going S on Kenwood and then E onto Middle Rd. More details and information on this closure will be released as they become available.
