All three locations of the Davenport Public Library will be closed on Thursday March 16 in order to hold a Staff Development Day. Staff will be participating in various training sessions with the goal of continuing to provide excellent service to the community. All locations will reopen on Friday March 17 with regular business hours of 9:00am to 5:30pm.

Attacking Trafficking and St. Ambrose University Campus Ministry, announce that they are sponsoring a discussion by Christopher Cox, Campaign Manager for The Human Thread, on Thursday, March 2, 11AM in the Rogalski Ballroom at St. Ambrose University. The discussion will explain and create an understanding of the effects of globalization on the clothing industry and facilitate the understanding of people’s relationship with clothes.

Senators Highlight Need for Quality Health Care in Rural America

The 32nd Annual Quad City Youth Conference welcomes Cambridge High School and it’s presentation of “Fallen,” a play based on a young woman who takes her own life and the reactions of students, friends, family, and teachers in the aftermath. The play captures the attention of audience members as they find themselves either relating to the young woman who takes her life, to the students who bullied her, or possibly to the parents or teachers in her life.

Rock Island, IL: Rock Island Public Library Main Library, 30/31 and Southwest Branch library locations will be closed on Monday, Feb. 20 so that all staff can attend annual training.

Library digital services and book drops will be available. Normal library hours resume on Tuesday, February 21.
