Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird Leads 22-State Coalition Urging Congress to Pass SAVE Act

DES MOINES, IOWA (July 17, 2024) — Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird today co-led a 22-state coalition in a letter to Congressional leadership, urging the passage of the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (“SAVE”) Act. The bill strengthens election integrity by preventing illegal aliens from voting in federal elections.

Gov Kim Reynolds Appoints Ashley West-Joons as District Associate Judge

DES MOINES, IOWA (July 10, 2024) — Governor Kim Reynolds has announced her appointment of Ashley West-Joons as a district associate judge in Judicial District 4.

West-Joons, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, is an attorney at West Law Office and also serves as the Harrison County Attorney. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and her law degree from Creighton University.
