DAVENPORT, IOWA (November 28, 2022) — On Thursday, December 1, 6PM, at Fairmount, and Monday, December 12, 6PM, at Main, the Library will host Interfaith Focus, a series of two panel discussions with Rabbi Linda Bertenthal, Rev Elaine Calbeck, and Dr Lisa Killinger on the considerable amount of common ground between Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. Join our panel discussion featuring leaders from each of the three Abrahamic faiths to explore commonalities and differences.

Iowa Auditor of State Office Receives Highest Rating in External Peer Review

DES MOINES, IOWA (November 22, 2022) — The National State Auditors Association (NSAA) has awarded the Iowa Auditor of State Office its highest rating following an external peer review for the period October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.

“This rating is no small feat,” said Iowa Auditor of State Rob Sand. “I want to congratulate everyone in the Auditor’s Office and thank them for their hard work and commitment to Iowa tax-payers.”

The 8th Annual Des Moines Turkey Trot - Again Iowa’s Largest Thanksgiving Gathering

DES MOINES, IOWA (November 21, 2022) — For the eighth year running, The Des Moines Turkey Trot will welcome runners from across the country for a Thanksgiving morning 5K, 5 Mile, and Tot Trot run in the heart of downtown. Nearly 5,000 runners from 37 states are expected to attend this year’s event which has been named one of the “Top Trot’s in the Country” by Runner’s World Magazine.

Drive Safe Iowa Calls for Hands-Free Cell Phone Law
