DES MOINES, IOWA (October 11, 2022) — The Iowa Poetry Association (IPA) announces the publication of its annual poetry anthology Lyrical Iowa. The poems in this year's edition of Lyrical Iowa are anchored in lived experiences, cultural memories, and hopes and dreams for the future, according to Editor Marilyn Baszczynski. The 2022 edition of Lyrical Iowa is IPA's 77th anthology.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (September 29, 2022) — Quad Cities Pride in Memory (PIM), in collaboration with the Putnam Museum, Augustana College, Sarah Robb, and Fourth Wall Films, will unveil a set of six history panels representing the lives of local LGBTQ+ residents from a variety of perspectives and relevant topics from the 1960s through the 2000s.

DES MOINES, IOWA (October 7, 2022) — Governor Kim Reynolds and the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) have announced $14.1 million in grant-funding for the following four projects through Destination Iowa. DES MOINES, IOWA (October 6, 2022) — Governor Kim Reynolds announced today the appointment of Colonel Mark A Muckey as Deputy Adjutant General for the Iowa Air National Guard. Muckey, a Sioux City native, was selected by Gov Reynolds for his outstanding military achievements and leadership capabilities demonstrated through nearly four decades of military service.

DES MOINES, IOWA (October 4, 2022) — Governor Kim Reynolds today announced her appointment of Jessica Noll as a district associate judge in Judicial Election District 3B.

Noll, of Akron, Iowa, currently serves as a magistrate in Woodbury County and practices law with Deck Law PLC in Sioux City. Noll received her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of South Dakota.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (October 4, 2022) — Iowa PBS's commitment to early childhood education continues with the expansion of its Ready for School initiative. Educational specialists will work with educators, parents, child-care providers, and local partners in several Iowa communities. They aim to implement STEM- and literacy-based activities in classrooms for children two to five years old.
