Long Grove, Iowa - The Long Grove Street Dance has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 28th.

Come join the Masterclefs, North Scott's a capella group, on the patio at 6:00 p.m. and then get ready for Coupe DeVille, the Cadillac of Rock and Roll, when they perform on the street beginning at 8:00 p.m.

"If you need something fun to do this Friday, June 20th, come on out to Ca'd'Zan in Cambridge to see Duane Cliatt play! Hailing from Nashville, the heart of country music, Duane boasts one of the most unique, incredible voices you'll ever hear, and you'd be doing yourself a disservice not to see what all of the fuss is about. A tour tested artist, he's shared the stage with The Allman Brothers, Michael Bolton, and Brett Michaels, so you know you're gonna get your socks knocked off. The show starts at 7, and you better get there early so you can snag a good place to watch!

The first 10 people to the door will get a free copy of Duane's album, "Sweet and Simple," and be sure to follow him on twitter at www.twitter.com/duanecliatt to talk with Duane and stay up to date! Tickets are $10."

Davenport, Iowa - June 9, 2014 - The Ernie Peniston Band goes on stage in Davenport at the opening night of The Mississippi Valley Blues Fest on July 3 at 10:00 PM.  The group is back in the Quad-Cities for the second time this year, featuring acclaimed frontman Ernie Peniston, an all-star rhythm section, and a new live album.

Performing a tight fusion of original music, Chicago-style blues, and R&B, the band's Blues Fest appearance coincides with the launch of "Live at The Muddy Waters," which was captured during a February 2014 appearance at The Muddy Waters in Bettendorf.  "The room was electric that night between the crowd and the band, and you can hear it in the recording.  It was also a very special night, because it was a gathering of extraordinary musicians and long-time friends that hadn't played together in over 20 years," says Peniston.

Album Availability

The album is available via iTunes for pre-sale now, and the full album will be available for download through iTunes and the band's Facebook page on July 3.

Physical CD's will be available at Blues Fest and online at CD Baby on July 3.

About the Band

Peniston was inducted into the Iowa Blues Hall of Fame in 2003.  He's shared the stage with Prince, The Temptations, Koko Taylor, Lonnie Brooks, James Brown, Albert Collins, and many others. He also spent four years as the frontman with Blind Pig recording artists, Chicago Rhythm & Blues Kings, traveling the US and Europe.

The Ernie Peniston Band was formed in the late 80's and currently consists of a reunited, early-90's line-up: Ernie Peniston (Lead Vocal); Joe Collins (Guitar); Darren "Bo" Butler (Bass); Manuel Lopez III (Keys); and Rick Penhallegon (Drums) - all of whom got their start in and around the Quad-Cities.

The ARTery, a Rock Island gallery which features new regional talent, will expand its programming with a novel idea on Saturday, June 28. Acoustic double-neck guitarist Ian Ethan will give a concert accompanied by selected local artists interpreting and painting, in real time, what they hear in the multi-layered instrumental music. An artists' reception will follow the show, when the just-painted, musically-inspired pieces will be displayed.

Ian Ethan's music is loaded with visual possibilities. With 18 strings, innovative playing techniques, and a complex array of electronic looping pedals which he uses to capture and play back parts of the live compositions, the young guitarist builds scores of harmonic and rhythmic layers into his original, uncategorizable songs. The result is music that has been described as "colorful," "rich," "magical," and even "spiritual." The idea of combining visual and musical art is not new to Ian Ethan. Recently, the Planetarium at the Boston Museum of Science held a series of light-image shows specifically designed to accompany his music, performed live under the dome. For a preview of the evening's music, visit www.IanEthan.com.

Avenue, Rock Island. The June 28 event will run from 6 to 9 p.m., with the concert beginning at 6:30. Wine, beer, and snacks will be served. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view the gallery's current show titled "Text is a Four-Letter Word," by Steve Banks, Heidi Hernandez, and Terry Rathje. No admission will be charged but donations in support of the ARTery and the guest musician will be gratefully received. SPRINGFIELD, IL (06/04/2014)(readMedia)-- PEORIA, Ill. - The Air National Guard (ANG) Band of the Midwest is scheduled to kick off a free summer concert series at the Glen Oak Park Amphitheatre at 7 p.m., June 7

.

The 566th Air Force Band based in Peoria, Illinois, will perform jazz, rock and concert music for audiences in Illinois and Wisconsin as part of their community relations tour before a grand finale in Minnesota, July 4.

Audiences can expect a world-class show with exciting and dynamic music, while hearing the story of the ANG and hometown heroes who serve in it, said Maj. Bryan Miller of Naperville, Illinois, commander and trumpet player.

The annual concert series is the result of a year's worth of training and practice, one the band uses to celebrate patriotism with communities across the Midwest.

"I am proud to have my job and to be part of the ANG, so I look forward to being able to showcase that pride each summer on tour," said Senior Airman Sarah Carlson of Brookfield, Illinois, a euphonium and trombone player.

Senior Airman Justin Ahlberg of Galesburg, Illinois, percussion and saxophone player, said it is an opportunity for the band to put on a great performance and entertain the civilian and military communities, while spreading the message of the ANG's and United States Air Force's services.

"These performances are typically outdoor concerts in the park and attract all age groups, including many veterans and their families," said Senior Master Sgt. Greg Koger of Streamwood, Illinois, the band manager and bugler. "Then we send them home with a rousing patriotic music set, ending the show with 'God Bless the USA,' 'The Armed Services Medley,' and of course, John Philip Sousa's 'Stars and Stripes Forever.'"

All are invited to attend the following performances:

June 7 at 7 p.m. - Glen Oak Park Amphitheatre, Peoria, Illinois.

June 28 at 3 p.m. - City Park Summer Fun Fest, Oglesby, Illinois.

June 29 at 6:30 p.m. - Grundy County Courtyard Lawn, Morris, Illinois.
