WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley has this week reintroduced legislation to ban packer ownership of livestock after seeing continued impact of consolidation within the livestock industry.

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Pesticide Safety Education Program will be offering a “Last Chance” Private Pesticide Applicator Continuing Instruction Course (CIC) for private pesticide applicators on April 13 and 14, 2017, at county extension offices throughout the state.

Iowa Biodiesel Board points to strong state policies for reaching milestones

(ANKENY, IOWA) – A new state government report shows more than half of Iowa’s fuel retailers carried biodiesel in 2016, increasing six percent over 2015. Higher blends are also becoming the norm. Iowa’s proactive state policies have played a crucial role in the growth, helping maintain the state’s position as the number one producer.

The European Union (EU) is implementing a new system of electronic certificates of inspection for imports of organic products from the United States (and other third countries) in the Trade Control & Expert System (TRACES) – the EU’s existing electronic system for tracking movements of food products across the EU.
