MOLINE, ILLINOIS (June 28, 2023) — When Eve Minor had her first child, she faced a challenge familiar to parents all across the Quad Cities region and beyond: How could she juggle working full-time and raising her young family, especially in an area with limited options for affordable child-care? She decided to offer child-care services out of her home, allowing her to stay with her own child while earning an income and supporting other parents up against the same dilemma.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 21, 2023) — Registration is now open for SAL Community Services’ signature fundraiser. The 27th annual Little Bogey’s Golf Classic, presented by Koehler Electric, is set with a shotgun start at noon on Monday, May 8, at Oakwood Country Club (1067 US Highway 6, Coal Valley, Illinois). An awards banquet dinner will immediately follow.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (December 21, 2022) — SAL Community Services has been awarded nearly $1.2 million from the Illinois State Board of Education to implement its Prevention Initiative program, which provides services and resources to expectant parents and families with children from birth to age three to support healthy social and emotional development.

The grant is a game-changer for children and families in western Illinois.
