DES MOINES, IOWA (July 1, 2020) This spring, many Iowans spent more time than usual at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Social-media newsfeeds were filled with pictures of before and after lawn projects, cupcake baking challenges, and triumphant results of spring-cleaning and purging of closets and drawers to help pass the time. But one important area that may have been passed over in your COVID cleanup is your medicine drawer.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (April 29, 2020) — Community health and dental centers across Iowa were each awarded $20,000 for a total of $360,000 in COVID-19 response-grants from Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation. Funds awarded will help preserve access to care within Iowa’s safety-net infrastructure during this challenging time for many Iowans.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (August 21, 2019) — Did you know that Americans ages 65-74 are keeping their teeth longer? In fact, according to a study published in the Journal of American Dental Association in January 2019, complete tooth-loss has decreased more than 75 percent over the past 50 years for this age group. It seems terrific on the surface, until you realize that many of these adults do not have dental-insurance coverage or access to dental-care due to poverty or other barriers.
