MOLINE, ILLINOIS (September 30, 2019) — Storm hockey is back, and tomorrow, October 1, single-game tickets go on sale to the public. Tickets can be purchased online at QuadCityStorm.com or by visiting the TaxSlayer Center box office. Opening night is October 25 when the Storm battle the defending league-champion Huntsville Havoc. Fans are encouraged to get to their seats early for a laser light-show, drumline battle, and $2 beers and hot dogs until the puck drops.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (September 9, 2019) — The Quad City Storm has added Jake Toporowski to its hockey staff as an assistant coach. Toporowski is the first assistant coach in the history of the franchise.

A native of Bettendorf, Iowa, Toporowski hails from a hockey family and most recently played with the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League. He will continue to work as an area scout for his former team.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (August 14, 2019) — The Quad City Storm promised to be the “community’s team” during their inaugural season last year and they put their money where their promise was. After the team won the league’s community service award in June, the final $1000 check was delivered to United Way bringing the total to over $170,000 back to the Quad Cities community.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (August 6, 2019) — On Monday, the Storm acquired forward Dakota Klecha from the Macon Mayhem in exchange for future considerations. Klecha is a fourth-year pro who played in 33 games for Macon last season and racked up 12 goals and 11 assists. In 127 career SPHL games with Macon, Peoria, and Fayetteville, he has scored 96 points.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (July 9, 2019) — This weekend, members of the Quad City Storm hockey team will be competing in the National DEK Hockey Association Summer Tournament.

The Storm team will be competing in Division 1 and play in their first game this Friday, July 12, at 6:45P.M. A complete schedule is listed below.

 

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (July 2, 2019) — The second season of Storm hockey begins Saturday October 19th in Peoria to rekindle the Cold War on 74.

After the early road trip, the squad will return to the friendly confines of the TaxSlayer Center October 25 and 26 to battle the two-time defending Presidents Cup champion Huntsville Havoc.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (June 18, 2019) — The Quad City Storm presented the United Way of the Quad Cities with a check in the amount of $1000 Tuesday afternoon, continuing their commitment to giving back to the community that supports them. The funds were granted to the Storm to donate to a charity of their choice as part of the SPHL’s Wanda Amos award which recognizes a team, individual, or alumna for their outstanding work in the community.
