IOWA FALLS, IOWA (March 1, 2022) — Live Healthy Iowa (LHI) is partnering with twelve communities across Iowa to host the 8th annual Live Healthy Iowa 5K. The events, scheduled for Saturday, April 23, will be held in Anamosa, Bondurant, Carroll, Decorah, Dickinson County, Dike, Fort Dodge, Hancock County, Sergeant Bluff, Sibley, Spencer, and Storm Lake. A virtual option is also being offered.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (March 25, 2021) — The Quad Cities Corporate Games (QCCG), a project of the Iowa Sports Foundation in partnership with Visit Quad Cities and the Davenport Parks and Recreation Department, has announced company divisions for the inaugural year.

QUAD CITIES (December 1, 2020) The inaugural Quad Cities Corporate Games (QCCG), a project of the Iowa Sports Foundation in partnership with Visit Quad Cities and the Davenport Parks and Recreation Department, will be held June 1-July 31, 2021. Companies can now register to secure their spot in this annual event.

AMES, IOWA (June 26, 2020) The Iowa Games, in collaboration with Iowa State University, Ames Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Catch Des Moines, announced that the 2021 State Games of America will be moved to 2022. The rescheduling of the event comes in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused many state games to cancel or modify their games this summer.

AMES, IOWA (June 1, 2020) With the cancelations of running events across the state, OneIA Challenge strives to unite runners and walkers alike. Over $500 has already been raised for local running stores and charities throughout the state. Adaptive Sports Iowa has partnered with OneIA Challenge to raise funds during these especially hard times.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (May 1, 2020) — The Iowa Sports Foundation has postponed the main weekend of the 2020 Iowa Senior Games due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 15 sports of the main weekend were scheduled for June 3-7 in West Des Moines. Replacement dates are to be determined.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (January 23, 2020) — Athletes from around the state will compete in Dubuque this weekend, January 24-26, celebrating the 2020 Winter Iowa Games presented by Grinnell Mutual. Competitions will be held in 10 events at 11 venues throughout the Dubuque community.

AMES, IOWA (December 13, 2019) — Adaptive Sports Iowa, a non-profit committed to providing sports and recreation opportunities for Iowans with physical disabilities, has begun generating donations through the Hy-Vee Giving Tag Program.

The Hy-Vee Giving Tag Program, which launched in November 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where customers live and work.
