Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences Student Receives 2026 CVS Caring Heart Scholarship

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (August 24, 2026) — A student in Des Moines University (DMU) Medicine and Health Sciences' Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program has been awarded a $10,000 Caring Hearts Scholarship from the CVS Health Foundation.

Bryn Miller was selected for her academic achievements, service activities and dedication to providing care to others.

"Being recognized with such a meaningful scholarship is truly an honor," Miller says.

Free Back-to-School Physicals July 22 at Des Moines University Clinic

DES MOINES, IOWA (July 13, 2026) — Des Moines University (DMU) Clinic will provide free back-to-school physicals and backpacks for students heading into kindergarten through incoming high-school seniors.

This one-day event will be Wednesday, July 22, 2026. No insurance is needed. Interpreters and interpretation services will be available. These physicals are designed to help K-12 students prepare for the upcoming school year and fall sports.
